If Daniel Jones Believes He Is An Elite QB, I Have No Choice But To Believe That He Is An Elite QB
First of all, shout out to Art Stapleton for getting the Elite conversation started about another polarizing Giants QB more than a decade after it all went down with Eli Manning. That led to all the Giants fans saying shit like "You can't spell Elite without Eli" while the Eli haters spit back a bunch of his worse stats covered in vitriol before the season ultimately culminated with this moment.
Well here we are 12 years later and I can only imagine the percentage of people that hate clicked on this blog to spew more venom at a Big Blue quarterback.
Now Daniel Jones is obviously savvy enough to not light an internet firestorm by dropping the E word during the dog days of August where every media outlet is looking for a story to run with it while also being confident enough to not hide from it. That's the kind of confidence that allowed him to overcome his own fans booing him on draft night before putting up 24 touchdowns as a rookie despite a dogshit team. That's the kind of heart of a man that can bounce back from having a bunch of bozos calling the shots from the front office and sideline to lead the Giants to a playoff win on the road last year now that he has people in charge who have a brain in the head. And it's the kind of swag that allows him to believe in himself despite being one of the most criticized and memed quarterbacks in the NFL simply because he plays in a big market on a franchise that couldn't get out of it's damn way for years and he resembles the old lovable goofy QB in so many damn ways.
Excuse me, Daniel Jones doesn't have swag because lest we forget…
That swagless guy is also a 6'5", 220 lb. QB that can drop dimes with his arm, run past you with his wheels, and may actually have receivers that can be deemed weapons instead of the hodge podge Danny has had to deal with the last four years.
My little lamb would also never tell a lie, which is why I'm calling it now. Daniel Jones has an elite season incoming followed by a bunch of Elite t-shirts with Danny's face of them that are gonna put my kids through college. I'm not just saying that as the President of the Daniel Jones Hype Group. I'm saying that as someone that accurately predicted that Jacksonville Jaguars would win the AFC South before last season, so you know that I know ball.
Yes I will use this prediction for the rest of my life to convince others (and myself) that I am not a complete idiot when it comes to football.
